Our Story

How It Started

OUR STORY

Sanctuary Horses was founded with a profound purpose - to rescue horses from abusive, endangering, neglectful situations, as well as those seeking a new purpose, and provide them with a new life filled with love and care. With unwavering determination, we strive to be a safe haven, offering a home to horses in need and rescuing those facing immediate danger. Our mission extends beyond rescue; we are committed to educating the public about the importance of caring for horses and preventing animal cruelty. Additionally, we recognize the transformative power of equine therapy and prepare our rescued horses to serve as partners in therapy services within the community. By highlighting the unique ability of horses to forge deep connections and facilitate emotional healing, we aim to open doors to a new approach in individual, family, and group therapy. Join us in making a positive difference in the lives of these majestic animals.
